BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -– A MaineDOT contractor will be working on I-95 during the overnight hours on the Union Street Bridge in Bangor. This work involves closing one lane of traffic on the interstate to allow for construction to take place safely between the times of 7:00p.m. to 7:00a.m.
On Monday, May 12 crews will be closing the southbound passing lane from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
On Tuesday, May 13 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the work will involve a closure of the southbound I-95 ramp from Ohio Street. Motorists wishing to get on I-95 southbound from Ohio Street will be detoured to Union Street and around a detour route via Vermont Avenue and Maine Avenue to Hammond Street where they can access I-95 south.
Detour signs will guide motorists through the work zone.
